We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our client’s team in Midland, TX. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various accounting operational functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This is a direct hire, on-site, permanent role.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions: You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and best practices.
• Managing the monthly close process for all subsidiaries in NetSuite: You will lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions and preparing necessary journal entries and reconciliations.
• Preparing consolidation of monthly results from NetSuite: You will consolidate financial data from various subsidiaries and prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
• Managing and coordinating audit deliverables for yearly audit: You will work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during the annual audit process.
• Managing and coordinating tax deliverables for tax preparer: You will collaborate with tax preparers to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
• Reviewing and approving all incoming bills and purchase orders: You will review and approve bills and purchase orders on a weekly basis, ensuring proper allocation to facilities and accurate financial coding.
• Preparing AP analysis and facilitating check-runs: You will analyze accounts payable on a weekly basis, assist in processing payments, and help facilitate the check-run process.
• Managing and preparing bi-weekly payroll for all subsidiaries: You will be responsible for processing payroll for employees across all subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and accurate record-keeping.
• Preparing monthly royalty reports and facilitating payment: You will prepare monthly royalty reports, collaborate with the AP coordinator, and ensure timely and accurate payment to royalty recipients.
• Facilitating bi-weekly AR meetings: You will lead meetings to discuss the status of aging invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and ensure effective accounts receivable management.
• Coordinating with financial analyst on budgeting/forecasting/reporting: You will collaborate with the financial analyst to provide financial data and insights for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting purposes.
• Performing year-end analysis over accruals and true-up: You will conduct a thorough analysis of year-end accruals and make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Facilitating compliance with State and Federal reporting for wells: You will ensure compliance with various State and Federal required reporting related to well operations, coordinating with the relevant stakeholders.
• Reconciling bank accounts on a weekly basis: You will perform bank account reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of transactions and identify any discrepancies or errors.
• Fielding ad hoc requests from Company Management and PE Owner: You will respond to ad hoc requests for financial information or analysis from Company Management and the Private Equity Owner.
• Internal treasury management between cash accounts: You will oversee internal treasury management, including cash flow monitoring, intercompany fund transfers, and optimizing cash utilization.

Qualifications:
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in NetSuite and the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) and report writing tools.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Ability to compile and manipulate data from a variety of sources and communicate results effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate and execute value-adding projects with minimal supervision.

The pay for this position ranges from $80,000 to $150,000 per year. Actual starting pay is dependent upon experience, education, or other bona fide factors. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
