Flux Resources is seeking a Test Engineer 3 to join one of our clients on a 10 month contract assignment in the Longmont Colorado area. This role pays in the $37-44/hr range.
Description:
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases. Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., Just in Time purchases, use of EOQ - Economic Order Quantities). Resolves discrepancies. Creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems. Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
Responsibilities includes, but not limited to:
• Send and receive hardware materials, maintain inventory of equipment.
• Project specific hardware bring up and maintain, support team members with specific HW configurations.
• Coordinate with project teams for all lab related activities.
• Complete all assignments on time with good quality, proactive communication of Challenges/Risks.
• Participate in SCRUM meetings and update progress of all assigned activities.
Technical Requirements:
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing Hardware and Software
• Has a previous track record of building systems and conducting tests - with the ability to summarize data.
• Strong drive and passion to provide accurate data with attention to detail, and ability to run sometimes very-repetitive manual test procedures.
• Self-motivated and self-started with excellent time management skills, must be a great teammate.
• Strong individual contributor with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience with Terminal and a Unix command line environment.
• Some coding/scripting experience (Unix Shell or Python), and software troubleshooting and debugging skills, is a plus but nice to have.
• Ability to work independently using written instructions to complete tasks.
• Proficient in using Excel.
• Building test systems, disassembling, modifying and reassembling systems
• Working with cross-functional teams to run software-hardware test plans and procedures
• Handling of prototype hardware; adherence to protocols regarding handling of sensitive units
