We’re looking to hire an Instrumentations & Controls Group Manager to join our team. You will have the opportunity to lead and manage a team of designers, engineers, and support staff to ensure the technical competency and quality of work performed by the staff. This person will also coordinate with various disciplines within the organization (architectural, mechanical, process/chemical, structural, etc.) and will be an integral part of problem-solving complex designs for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities for the world’s leading high-tech companies.
Responsibilities
- Effectively lead, manage, and mentor the I&C Engineering staff and design work, with an emphasis on employee growth, project success, and overall performance.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Set clear goals and objectives, assess progress, and instill a performance-oriented culture with a focus on accountability. Deploy a strategy that builds, retains, and engages all employees through inclusion and teamwork.
- Coordinates with various disciplines within the organization (architectural, mechanical, process/chemical, structural, etc.) to collaborate, optimize, and improve work and staff sharing by participating in multi-discipline strategy sessions.
- Assists all levels of Management in articulating discipline capability requirements in support of strategic and business objectives.
- Identifies, champions, mentors, and coaches the development of our less experienced staff and looks for ways to elevate the technical and professional expertise of the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Active Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain an active PE license is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in industrial facility, semiconductor, high technology, and/or battery manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
The pay for this position ranges from $90,000 to $150,000 per year. Actual starting pay is dependent upon experience, education, or other bona fide factors. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
