Primary duties and responsibilities:
Evaluate damaged facilities and infrastructure and formulate Project Worksheets (PWs) to include damages, a scope of work and cost estimate for repair or replacement of infrastructure.
Assist local government agencies and other Program-eligible entities in the preparation of grant applications for the restoration of a variety of damaged public infrastructure to include roads, bridges, buildings and utilities.
The work includes site assessments of disaster-damaged infrastructure, documenting damages and restoration scopes of work, and formulating cost estimates
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited university
EIT or Licensed Professional Engineer strongly preferred
Minimum of 2 years of full-time professional experience with MEP projects
Experience writing FEMA Project Worksheets and knowledge of FEMA Public Assistance program laws, policies and regulations preferred.
Working knowledge of building, codes, standards, and ADA requirements
Experience preparing engineering or construction cost estimates; RS Means experience a plus
Must have excellent verbal and technical writing skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel)
