- Evaluate damaged facilities and infrastructure and formulate Project Worksheets (PWs) to include damages, a scope of work and cost estimate for repair or replacement of infrastructure.
- Assist local government agencies and other Program-eligible entities in the preparation of grant applications for the restoration of a variety of damaged public infrastructure to include roads, bridges, buildings and utilities.
- The work includes site assessments of disaster-damaged infrastructure, documenting damages and restoration scopes of work, and formulating cost estimates
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited university
- EIT or Licensed Professional Engineer strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time professional experience with MEP projects
- Experience writing FEMA Project Worksheets and knowledge of FEMA Public Assistance program laws, policies and regulations preferred.
- Working knowledge of building, codes, standards, and ADA requirements
- Experience preparing engineering or construction cost estimates; RS Means experience a plus
- Must have excellent verbal and technical writing skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel)
- Must be able to work in team environment
