Per Diem/Expenses: Sante Fe or Los Vegas New Mexico area
Rotation: At FEMA’s discretion, a 7-14 day rotation may be allowed approximately every 60 days.
Location: Sante Fe or Los Vegas New Mexico
Hours Worked Weekly: 40 hours. History has shown OT is common.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
The CEF Specialist will support teams of Architects and Engineers to develop repair or replacement costs of damaged facilities and prepare cost analysis for construction contract change orders.
Evaluate applicant-provided cost claims for reasonableness
Review information provided and identifying additional information needed
Research, review and update equipment rates used in reimbursing applicants for the use of applicant-owned equipment while performing eligible work
Forecast project costs by gathering details and compiling data to estimate all project costs according to specifications
May develop cost proposals based on RFP’s and RFQ’s
Consider materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation for estimations
Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraint
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ability to successfully pass a background investigation to obtain the required FEMA badge.
10+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR 14 years in field of expertise with complex construction projects.
Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
