Flux Resources is seeking Cost Estimators who are available for an immediate deployment for Hurricane Disaster Relief. Anticipated deployment as early as Friday 10/11/24. Pay is $45/hr. 

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• The CEF Specialist will support teams of Architects and Engineers to develop repair or replacement costs of damaged facilities and prepare cost analysis for construction contract change orders.
• Evaluate applicant-provided cost claims for reasonableness
• Review information provided and identifying additional information needed
• Research, review and update equipment rates used in reimbursing applicants for the use of applicant-owned equipment while performing eligible work
• Forecast project costs by gathering details and compiling data to estimate all project costs according to specifications
• May develop cost proposals based on RFP’s and RFQ’s
• Consider materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation for estimations
• Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraint

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• 10+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR 14 years in field of expertise with complex construction projects.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
