Flux Resources is seeking a Technician 2 to support one of our clients in the Portland Oregon area. This is a one year long project with potential to go longer. Pay range falls in the $40-$45/hr range. Actual starting pay is dependent upon experience, education, or other bona fide factors. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements
 
  • CIP Project Commissioning Support
    • Develop Control narrative package loop section
    • Manage ORT2 coordination/testing/documentation
    • Participate on Guidance documentation and Div 00/01 spec updates
    • Upcoming project needs: E10804 OWRF, E07947 STEP decommissioning integration and HPA relocation, PLC upgrades
  • Support for the Automation Change Requests (ACR) program
    • Coordination/identification of need
    • Write up request (automation and process support)
    • Documentation updates (control narratives, drawing markup/As-builting guidance)

Critical Skills Needed and Special Requirements (include trainings and safety/other equipment needed for position):
  1. Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation, SCADA and PLC systems.
    1. Control panel design
    2. 24VDC/120VAC control system design
    3. Instrument selection
    4. IO list development
    5. Sequence of Operations development
  2. Construction experience.
    1. Support for RFIs and change orders.
    2. Develop commissioning plans
      1. Operational Readiness Test Forms
        1. Loop checks, setpoints/ranges verification, alarms
      2. Functional testing procedures
        1. PLC and SCADA functionality and troubleshooting
    3. Field support and coordination services
      1. Execute commissioning plans
    4. Review of submittals and O&Ms
  3. Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships and influence work.
    1. Coordination between several trades, vendors, and contractors
    2. Conflict resolution
  4. Clear and effective verbal communication and written documentation.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Willingness to learn about emerging needs at the facility.
