  • Developing and validating the Damage Description and Dimensions (DDD), Scope of Work (SOW), and Costs for completed work based on documentation provided by PA Applicants.
  • The specialist enters the project into the Grants Manager (GM) system and ensures the developed DDD, SOW, and cost Costs are consistent with each other and adequately supported by source documentation.
  • When a project contains many items, the specialist utilizes standard sampling methodology to verify the project.
  • If the Document Validation Specialist (DVS) determines the project has inconsistencies, is not sufficiently documented, or is missing pertinent items needed to develop the DDD, SOW, or Costs, the DVS will document the requirements necessary to complete the project in a Request for Information (RFI) while simultaneously working with the Program Delivery Manager (PDMG) and the Lane Task Force Lead to resolve outstanding requests.
  • The DVS will perform peer reviews of projects formulated by other team members.
  • It is preferred that the Document Validation Specialists have general FEMA PA experience, some PA grant documentation review or project development experience, validating PA grant documentation and developing or reviewing Damage Descriptions and Dimensions (DDD), Scopes of Work (SOW) and Cost Estimates for PA grant projects.
The pay for this position ranges from $40/hr. Actual starting pay is dependent upon experience, education, or other bona fide factors. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
