The Remediation Construction Project Manager assembles the team, coordinates development of work plans or other deliverables as required, maintains regular communication on project status with stakeholders, and oversees personnel and subcontractors performing field work.
The Remediation Construction Project Manager will also manage the project schedule and control project risks and budget to ensure that Weston’s commitments and financial goals are met and accurately and timely communicated within Weston’s financial monitoring and reporting systems. The Project Manager also provides safety and quality control leadership for projects they manage.
Location: Long Beach, Concord, Los Angeles or San Francisco, California
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or 8-10+ years of experience with High School diploma or Associate degree.
• 5+ years of experience in Remediation Construction Management
• Experience in environmentally contaminated sites.
• State and Federal regulatory experience/knowledge.
• CCM certification or equivalent is a plus but not required.
• Experience in managing both fixed price and cost-reimbursable construction projects.
• Experience managing budgets of $1-5M+ gross revenue.
• Proven ability to track actual costs incurred and forecast anticipated cost to calculate, communicate, and report an accurate estimate to complete in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to successfully understand, interpret, coordinate, and negotiate with subcontractors, the client, and Weston management teams.
• Ability to understand and execute construction documents, plans, and specifications
• Ability to appropriately delegate and engage geographically dispersed staff.
• Expert knowledge of MS Word/Excel /PowerPoint /MS Project/Primavera P6.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams with projects of moderate size, scope, and complexity.
• Promotes relationships between Weston team members and client representatives.
• Can react effectively to changing conditions and collaborate as needed.
• Claims and successful change management experience essential.

• Proposal estimating and technical response for proposals.
• Leads efforts to drive project underruns, identify project risk and risk mitigation.
• Creates a positive work environment based on high-quality team connections and open communication.
• Manages project teams by clearly communicating expectations for project requirements, scope, schedule, project risks, and budget. Clearly communicates changes or issues up to management and client in a timely manner.
• Generally, manages multiple projects simultaneously that are moderate in scope with multiple subcontractors and internal team members.
• Management and communication of project changes with the client and the project team.
• Consistently meets planned project profitability and metrics (NIBT, profit margins, DSO, etc.) on routine projects with relatively few risks.
• Assists with proposal efforts, including subcontractor identification and scoping, costing, estimating, and profitability planning.
• Proactive identification of project issues and development of options for corrective action.
• Timely, accurate, and compliant preparation and submittal of invoices. Monitoring and reporting of the status of accounts receivable and recommends appropriate action on overdue accounts.
• Compliance with Weston purchasing and subcontracting requirements.

The pay for this position ranges from $130,000-$160,000 a year. Actual starting pay is dependent upon experience, education, or other bona fide factors. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
