Facilities Planner Salary: Around $34/Hr. DOE Locations: Camp Lejeune & Cherry Point, North Carolina Contract
Responsibilities Include:
Support FSRM and MILCON Project Development, Project Planning & Program Development, Asset Management activities, and Program Support operations.
Preparation of Basic Facility Requirements in accordance with NAVFAC standards and guidelines, development and update of asset inventory documentation in accordance with NAVFAC standards and guidelines
Development of 1391 documentation and uploading to Electronic Project Generator (EPG), maintenance of INFADS records and planning data.
Updating Facility Planning Documents
Providing facilities related briefs and status reports, and other planning products such as economic analysis and site plans
Define and develop engineering project requirements and translate them into Performance Work Statements/Statements of Work
Provide reports and other products in support of Facility Working Groups, Facility Utilization Boards, and other installation meetings
Provide technical support to determine the feasibility/capability of existing facilities to support new missions or long-range programs as well as define requirements for new or additional facilities
Assist in the development of various project management tools to include PMPs, Source Selection Plans (SSPs), Acquisition strategies, formal Acquisition Plans (AQPs), and Economic Analyses
Prepare reports and recommendations for project sponsors and stakeholders
Advance concepts and approaches, reviews projects progress and results; provide project status to help management resource decisions
Oversees the development, evaluation or review of plans and criteria for a variety of activities; assesses the feasibility of proposed plans, projects, and equipment
Bachelor Degree in Planning or Engineering/Architecture or related field.
1+ year of experience in planning, or equivalent experience planning at a Marine Corps Military Base to include experience with Basic Facility Requirements (BFRs), Asset Evaluations, Internet Navy Facility Assets Data Store (iNFADS), experience with DD1391s and Electronic Project Generator (EPG).
Knowledge and understanding of the military design and construction process is desired.
Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Excellent communication skills both oral, visual and written.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Outstanding interaction skills, tact, and team building skills.
Ability use logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions.
Ability to successfully pass drug screening and a federal background check is required.
Knowledge of BUILDERTM Sustainment Management System, TRIRIGA, E4Clicks, MS Project, AutoCADD, Primavera, and Visio is desired.
