Position Overview: Senior Water Resources Engineer II

Our client is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer II to join their team at the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) in Celebration, FL. This embedded position requires the candidate to be onsite full-time and contribute to the Moving I-4 Forward program, one of the most high-profile transportation projects in Florida. The Senior Water Resources Engineer will play a vital role in managing water resources tasks and contributing to project success.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare project specifications, complete project documents, and provide analysis and reports.

• Analyze and interpret data, conducting impact studies, cost analyses, design requirements, and site selection.

• Design systems, components, and processes related to water resources engineering.

• Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects.

• Provide technical guidance to junior and support staff, and manage small multidisciplinary teams.

• Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with client objectives and regulatory standards.

• Serve as the technical expert, reviewing and approving scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.

• Proficiency in production software and construction document production.

• Proven ability to address challenging issues and deliver innovative solutions.

• Experience working on major projects or multiple moderate-sized projects, providing technical guidance to junior staff.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
