Position Overview: Senior Water Resources Engineer II
Our client is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer II to join their team at the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) in Celebration, FL. This embedded position requires the candidate to be onsite full-time and contribute to the Moving I-4 Forward program, one of the most high-profile transportation projects in Florida. The Senior Water Resources Engineer will play a vital role in managing water resources tasks and contributing to project success.
Responsibilities:
Prepare project specifications, complete project documents, and provide analysis and reports.
Analyze and interpret data, conducting impact studies, cost analyses, design requirements, and site selection.
Design systems, components, and processes related to water resources engineering.
Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects.
Provide technical guidance to junior and support staff, and manage small multidisciplinary teams.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with client objectives and regulatory standards.
Serve as the technical expert, reviewing and approving scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
Proficiency in production software and construction document production.
Proven ability to address challenging issues and deliver innovative solutions.
Experience working on major projects or multiple moderate-sized projects, providing technical guidance to junior staff.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
