Flux Resources is seeking an Engineer 2 to join one of our clients in Happy Valley, Oregon. This is a contract to hire opportunity paying in the $100,000-$120,000 range.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil, mechanical or environmental engineering; 3-5 years of experience in water utility operations or related functions
Recently licensed as a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Oregon (or able to sit for the PE exam within one year).
In addition, preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of AutoDesk and ArcGIS Online (or Server) software, along with InfoWater or H2ONet hydraulic modeling software.
Job Description:
The primary role is to serve as an experienced member of the engineering staff, executing basic day-to-day assignments from the Engineering Manager.
This position is also expected to lead small workgroups and lead task assignments.
This person should have advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices, as well as advanced hydraulic and related modeling experience.
Typical work may include design support and construction management, SCADA operations, development review, and preparation of related technical memorandum and reports.
The position will also support the agency’s asset management program, including capital planning, infrastructure renewal and replacement scheduling, and construction cost estimating.
The work will also be expected to be coordinated with Field Operations staff and related field deployment of engineering functions.
This position will normally work with limited supervision and is expected to work independently on a regular basis or as a member of a team.
