We are currently seeking Historic Preservation/Architectural Historians for our client who supports FEMA disaster relief efforts across the United States. FEMA’s mission is to support citizens and first responders to ensure that as a Nation, we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.
Pay: $55/hr. REMOTE Project: Puerto Rico
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Conduct site inspections and ensure that any proposed project actions comply with environmental, floodplain, and historic preservation laws, regulations, and executive orders.
May conduct environmental assessments and environmental impact statements.
Identify, assess, and resolve problems concerning the environment.
May design, install, operate and maintain measuring apparatus to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water.
Perform experiments and reports findings on environmental consequences of equipment, tools, and procedures.
Ensure the organization's conformance to federal, state, and local environmental legislation. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
PE, PWS, CWB, NCARB or comparable certification.
Interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
