Job Title: Scheduler

Job Description:
Our client, a leading company in the energy and utilities sector, is seeking a Scheduler to support the planning and execution of capital projects in the Atlanta area. This position plays a key role in the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules using Primavera P6. The ideal candidate will have a background in infrastructure or utility projects and a strong understanding of schedule logic, resource planning, and risk identification.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain summary-level and detailed project schedules in Primavera P6.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align schedules with project scope and execution plans.
Identify key milestones, critical path activities, and scheduling constraints.
Evaluate actual project progress through site inspections and reporting inputs.
Update schedules regularly and perform variance analysis to assess schedule impacts.
Generate schedule-related reports, including look-aheads, histograms, and cash flow projections.
Recommend corrective actions and recovery plans when schedule delays occur.
Review contractor and vendor schedules for accuracy and alignment with project goals.
Prepare as-built schedules and contribute to post-project evaluations.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of scheduling experience on capital projects within the utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
Strong knowledge of critical path method (CPM) scheduling, resource loading, and schedule performance analysis.
Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Must be able to work onsite in Atlanta; relocation support is available.
