Position: Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Program Manager
Location: Hybrid, Portland, OR
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay Range: $70-$73/HR

Our client, a respected leader in the utilities and energy sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Program Manager. This critical role involves overseeing complex, large-scale strategic projects and programs, with a focus on driving efficiency and innovation across their asset management and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage high-profile, complex projects/programs, ensuring the successful delivery of results within scope, budget, and timelines.

  • Manage cross-functional teams including internal and external resources, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including budget forecasts, timelines, deliverables, and outcomes, utilizing established project management methodologies and tools.

  • Proactively identify, manage, and resolve inter-project dependencies, working collaboratively with project managers and stakeholders.

  • Conduct cost analyses and track project expenses to ensure budget adherence.

  • Establish and maintain an operating model for the program, working closely with key stakeholders and steering committees to ensure project alignment and success.

  • Coordinate resource planning and negotiate resource availability with various managers to ensure project needs are met.

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure schedules, costs, and deliverables align with the overall project goals.

  • Maintain a comprehensive project risk log, resolving issues as they arise and escalating as necessary.

  • Adhere to change management processes and control project changes in accordance with established policies.

  • Ensure thorough and accurate project documentation is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to lead large teams and complex projects.

  • Extensive experience in project/program management, especially in the context of asset management and field operations.

  • Strong understanding of performance evaluation and change management processes.

  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities, with experience interacting across all organizational levels.

  • Proficiency in project management software, particularly Planview.

  • A strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in leading Field Operations, GIS implementations, and asset management initiatives.

  • Familiarity with relevant EAM technologies such as Clevest, IQGEO, ESRI, SAP, Azure, and M365.

  • A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to critically assess and solve complex problems.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and manage difficult discussions with tact and diplomacy.

  • Master’s degree in business, technology, or a related field is preferred.

  • PMI or equivalent certification is a plus.

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in project management, particularly in large-scale, mission-critical programs.

Additional Preferences:

  • Knowledge of business process improvement techniques and change management methodologies is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated success in managing high-impact, high-visibility projects in an operational or asset management context.
