A global architecture and design firm is seeking a multi-talented Technical Designer to join its growing Critical Facilities team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and delivery of advanced technology and complex development projects, including data centers, dry labs, server rooms, clean rooms, industrial infrastructure, and other highly technical environments.
This role will support aggressive client expansion initiatives by collaborating with regional and global leadership teams, helping lead both internal and external project teams, and contributing to the growth of client relationships. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both the design and technical aspects of project delivery and production.
You will leverage your technical expertise and Revit skills to guide projects from concept through construction in a highly collaborative environment. This role is critical to the successful design and delivery of world-class technical and dry lab projects. A strong work ethic, dedication to problem-solving, and the ability to work within a collaborative and mentorship-driven culture are essential for success.
What You Will Do

  • Participate in all project phases, including conceptual design, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • Collaborate with design teams, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and vendors to achieve overall project objectives.
  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
  • Utilize hand-rendering techniques to communicate design concepts.
  • Work collaboratively with other design and professional staff.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and professional development programs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • 5+ years of related project or internship experience within a commercial interior design or architecture firm.
  • Proficiency in Revit required.
  • Experience with 2D/3D modeling software such as CAD, Enscape, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino, and/or V-Ray is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements.
  • Enrollment in IDP programs (NCARB or NCIDQ) and progress toward state licensure is a plus.
  • LEED Accredited Professional designation or progress toward accreditation is a plus.
  • Ability to work in-office five days per week.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborate effectively, and take direction from senior designers and architects.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong visual communication abilities with the capacity to think and visualize in three dimensions.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $85,000–$105,000 annually. Total compensation may also include bonuses, retirement programs, profit sharing, and additional incentive opportunities.
