A leading global architecture and design firm is seeking a multi-talented Architect to join its growing Critical Facilities practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and delivery of high-tech, ground-up architecture projects, including data centers, high-density labs, and other technically complex facilities.
This role will be a key contributor in supporting clients’ aggressive expansion initiatives, partnering with regional and global leadership teams to help lead internal and external project teams while strengthening client relationships. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in both the design and technical aspects of project delivery.
The Critical Facilities practice collaborates across multiple disciplines and specialty areas to support clients with evolving technical requirements. In addition to data centers, project types may include high-performance computing facilities, research and supercomputing environments, command and control centers, SCIFs, Artificial Intelligence facilities, and other technology-intensive project types.
Your Role
As an Architect, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams to develop innovative design solutions and coordinate projects through the construction documentation phase. The ideal candidate understands how to translate conceptual sketches and design intent into realized 2D/3D models and technical documentation while proactively resolving technical and design challenges.
You will leverage your technical expertise and Revit skills to support projects from concept through construction within a collaborative team environment. This role is critical to the successful delivery of world-class Critical Facilities projects. A strong work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to collaboration and mentorship are essential to success.
What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver informed project solutions aligned with market expertise and client goals.
  • Coordinate documentation with consultants, including structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, and life safety teams.
  • Coordinate closely with project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
  • Resolve complex technical and design issues to produce innovative, technically sound, and constructible solutions.
  • Direct the production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks.
  • Ensure project documentation maintains design intent and high technical quality.
  • Process submittals and substitution requests during construction and respond to RFIs.
  • Interface with permitting and building officials during permitting and construction phases.
  • Contribute to the financial performance and successful execution of projects.
  • Assist in reviewing and contributing to proposals and contracts with project leadership.
  • Establish and maintain strong, productive client relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent required.
  • 5–9 years of related project experience.
  • Critical Facilities experience or demonstrated interest required, including completed data center projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit required; experience with BIM360, Enscape, and AutoCAD is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or SketchUp.
  • Strong understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and applicable building codes.
  • State architectural licensure required.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software, including Grasshopper, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required. Portfolios should include at least one sustainability-focused project, and candidates should be prepared to discuss built work involving LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge, Fitwel, Net Zero, or similar certification standards during interviews.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $96,800–$123,200 annually, plus bonuses and benefits, depending on relevant experience.
