Network Engineer
This is a full-time exempt (40 + hours/week), on-site and travel-heavy role (50–60%) across data center deployment sites.


Summary
  • Hands-on role focused on deploying and validating AI datacenter network infrastructure at scale
  • Builds production-ready fabrics including front-end, back-end, BMS, and management networks
  • Configures switches, installs and validates optics, and coordinates structured cabling and fiber work
  • Troubleshoots across physical and logical layers (network, optical, and infrastructure)
  • Partners with data center operations, hardware, ICT, and network engineering teams to drive deployments to completion
  • Ensures infrastructure is fully validated and handed off to operations
  • Maintains deployment documentation (cutsheets, as-builts, validation results) and supports process improvement
  • Provides operational support and break-fix assistance post-deployment

Responsibilities
  • Deploy and validate datacenter network fabrics end-to-end
  • Configure network devices and validate production readiness
  • Perform physical layer troubleshooting (fiber, optics, OTDR, insertion loss)
  • Coordinate rack/stack, cabling, staging, and hardware logistics
  • Track inventory, manage DCIM updates, and support hardware lifecycle workflows
  • Identify blockers, escalate issues, and coordinate across multiple teams
  • Support incident response and operational troubleshooting when needed
  • Document deployment processes and contribute to improving deployment playbooks

Ideal Candidate
  • 3–7 years network engineering experience with datacenter exposure
  • Strong understanding of EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, and CLOS architectures
  • Hands-on experience with switch configuration and production network deployments
  • Comfortable working in field environments with physical infrastructure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network and optical layers
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and cross-functional infrastructure teams
  • Clear communicator with strong documentation habits
  • Able to learn quickly and operate independently in fast-paced environments
  • Willing to travel 50–60% and work onsite for extended deployment periods

Nice to Have
  • Experience with AI/ML networking (RoCEv2, PFC, ECN, lossless Ethernet)
  • Familiarity with Arista, Juniper, or NVIDIA networking platforms
  • Knowledge of fiber optics, structured cabling, and optical testing tools
  • Basic scripting or automation exposure (Python, Ansible)
  • Experience with DCIM or asset management systems

Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $72 – $120 per hour (based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location)
