Project Manager – Marketing
This is a full-time exempt (40+ hours/week), hybrid and travel-light role (travel not specified) across assigned marketing projects, campaigns, and cross-functional teams. This contract position pays in the $60-$68/hr range.
Summary
• Lead multiple concurrent marketing projects and campaigns from planning through execution, launch, and measurement.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, scope, timelines, resource requirements, outcomes, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams while managing dependencies, priorities, resources, and competing deadlines.
• Apply established project management methodologies, tools, and templates to drive consistent project delivery.
• Support the full marketing campaign lifecycle, including creative development, production, launch, and measurement.
• Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and bottlenecks while driving timely resolution and escalation.
• Translate business requirements and challenges into clear, achievable project objectives and roadmaps.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and outcome realization.
Responsibilities
• Develop project plans, budgets, scopes, timelines, deliverables, resource requirements, and project roadmaps while identifying key dependencies.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple simultaneous projects and marketing campaigns.
• Establish and maintain project risk logs, identify potential bottlenecks, resolve project issues, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Monitor project performance, quality, delivery metrics, and project health indicators while supporting quality audits and process adherence.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, negotiate priorities and resource availability, and lead meetings and difficult project conversations.
• Conduct analyses to estimate and track project costs and budgets while managing project change control in accordance with established policies.
• Coordinate cross-channel marketing campaigns involving digital, social, email, events, PR, targeting, business rules, and test-and-learn iterations.
• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation while driving continuous improvement across project delivery processes.
Ideal Candidate
• 5+ years of project management experience with demonstrated success managing multiple simultaneous projects.
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, scope management, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and change control.
• Experience managing timelines and dependencies across multiple concurrent marketing projects or campaigns.
• Understanding of the full marketing campaign lifecycle from brief and creative development through production, launch, and measurement.
• Familiarity with cross-channel direct marketing campaigns, including targeting, business rules, and test-and-learn iterations.
• Familiarity with digital, social, email, events, and PR channels and the ability to effectively coordinate stakeholders across these areas.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, prioritization, facilitation, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively through ambiguity, understand business challenges and trade-offs, and translate requirements into actionable project objectives.
Nice to Have
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field.
• PMI or equivalent project management certification.
• Understanding of business process improvement and change management.
• Experience supporting portfolio-level project performance, quality audits, delivery metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
