This is a full-time exempt (40+ hours/week), hybrid and travel-light role (local site visits required) across Austin, TX and surrounding areas. This position requires two days per week in the office.
Summary
• Lead small- to medium-complexity technology projects from initiation through completion.
• Manage projects involving network infrastructure, cloud modernization, cybersecurity, operational technology, enterprise applications, and related technology initiatives.
• Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, outcomes, and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal project teams, external resources, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Support technology initiatives involving SCADA, asset management, GIS, CIS, SaaS platforms, and system integrations.
• Monitor project risks, issues, costs, dependencies, and changes while maintaining stakeholder alignment.
• Apply established project management methodologies, tools, templates, and documentation standards.
• Ensure projects are delivered effectively while maintaining accurate project documentation and clear stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
• Lead multiple concurrent technology projects and assume accountability for successful project delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, scope, timelines, outcomes, resource requirements, and deliverables.
• Manage internal and external project resources while negotiating resource availability with appropriate stakeholders.
• Conduct project cost and budget analyses and track financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage vendor relationships and align vendor schedules, costs, dependencies, and deliverables with overall project plans.
• Establish and maintain project risk and issue logs, drive resolution, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Manage project change control in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation while coordinating local site visits as required.
Ideal Candidate
• 5+ years of project management experience with demonstrated success managing multiple simultaneous projects.
• Experience managing a combination of technology projects involving network infrastructure, cloud modernization, cybersecurity, SCADA, operational technology, asset management, GIS, or enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, vendor management, and change control.
• Experience coordinating internal teams, external resources, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
• Ability to facilitate meetings, manage difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy, and maintain stakeholder credibility.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Austin, TX and conduct site visits throughout the surrounding area.
Nice to Have
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field.
• PMI or equivalent project management certification.
• Understanding of business process improvement and change management.
• Familiarity with ESRI, IQGEO, Verkada, CUSI, Elements, Splunk, Five9, SAP, or similar enterprise technology platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly or salary range: $50/hour
